About us
Just parents, like you.
Primer Institute was founded by two brothers and a sister who got frustrated with an education system that was failing our children. So we stopped waiting for it to change and started building something better.
How it started
It started with one kid.
Primer began as a set of lessons for one of our sons. He's autistic, and there were certain skills he kept struggling with. The usual materials weren't reaching him, so we built lessons around him: his pace, his interests, the exact skills he needed to practice, as many times and as many ways as it took.
It worked. And the more we built, the more obvious it became that he wasn't the exception. Every student learns best when the lesson fits them, and almost none of them get that.
That's our passion now: bringing this kind of learning to every student, at a cost families can actually afford.
Every student deserves a school built around who they are, not the other way around.

There are no tech giants or investment firms behind Primer. It's just us: parents, just like everyone else, who want something better for our kids and believe other families deserve it too. We answer to the parents and students who use Primer, and nobody else.
